Alexis Richardson | 49er Graduate | UNC Charlotte | Charlotte, NC
What degree(s) are you earning? What do you plan on doing after graduation?
I am earning a degree in Biology with a Spanish minor. After graduation I will continue to work towards my ultimate goal of becoming a special agent with the FBI! I’m not quite old enough to apply so, in the mean time, I plan on gaining as many life and work experiences as possible!
Favorite spot on campus and why?
My favorite spot on campus, surprisingly, is the seated area right outside of the Student Union and Starbucks! I’m a big people watcher and I can actually study better in that spot. The library is way too quiet for me (I have super weird study habits)!
What has been your favorite memory at UNC Charlotte?
My favorite memory has honestly been the connections that I’ve made and all the fun times I’ve had with the friends i’ve made here. I will cherish the smallest moments whether it be grabbing lunch, coffee or a night on the town.
Most valuable lesson learned during your college career?
The most valuable lesson that I have learned is that nothing worth having comes easy. I have had to work extremely hard for this whether it be spending hours in the library or sacrificing time with friends and family, but it is something that I really wanted and I am so excited to say that I have finally reached the finish line! I definitely struggled with some classes and at one point considered changing my major, but I pushed through and that degree is finally mine!
Alexis, your spirit is as bright as your red dress! I'm so glad we got lost in the woods together. Congrats on making it to the finish line!
