Be Sure To Ask Your Florist For...

BE SURE TO ASK YOUR FLORIST FOR...

You're overlooking the Blue Ridge Parkway on a perfect winter's day. The trip up there was like an audition episode of American Idol. Lots of car-aoke. You had the most perfect weekend getaway. It was just what you needed. The air is crisp and the views are just breathtaking. The photographer is hiding behind a tree (future hubby, take note ;)). All of a sudden, you turn around and there he is. The love of your life. On one knee.

He finally popped the question!!

All of a sudden you're in a never-ending whirlpool of wedding planning. Who knew there were so many details to be sorted through?? Who will be by your side? What color should the dress be? Ombre colors? Mismatching necklines? Up-do? Strapless? Floor length? Cocktail? Shoes? Earrings? The list goes on. And that's just the BRIDESMAIDS' outfit. That's just one of the PAGES of decisions you will make for your big day.

Did I make your palms sweat? :) Somewhere between securing a venue and finalizing your guest list, you're going to consider hiring a florist. I personally love the look and smell (and feel) of fresh flowers. I frequently treat myself to bouquets just because I feel like they brighten a room and create a welcoming ambiance.

If you do choose to go the florist route, you are going to want to ask for...a few extra bags of loose petals and a few extra stems of flowers, similar to those in your bouquet. Your photographer will. love. you.

If even if you don't choose to sprinkle the aisle with petals, loose petals are great for petal tosses!! (Not to mention petal tosses are super fun to be a part of and photograph!!) The extra stems are perfect for detail shots and really tie the entire gallery together.

So, between the chaos -- remember this! And look forward to bathing in a shower of petals for a few minutes on your special day! Happy planning!!!
